The Center for Arizona Policy: Promoting Family, Faith, and Freedom
The Center for Arizona Policy is part of a 50-state nonprofit partnership associated with Focus on the Family. Their mission is "to strengthen the family by educating Arizonans on public policy issues that impact the family and equipping them to promote traditional values." CAP President Len Munsil, an attorney, and his wife Tracy, a political journalist, are homeschool parents with eight children. The CAP team works hard to promote pro-life, pro-family bills. Believe me, they need all the help they can get to battle our current liberal legislature! CAP-initiated laws that have taken effect in Arizona include Covenant Marriage and reciting the Declaration of Independence in schools. When working with legislators or being interviewed by the press, CAP leaders are often asked how many members their organization represents. They are now offering annual memberships for just $25. Members can greatly enhance CAP's ability to impact public policy in Arizona for the benefit of our children and families, and to protect the sanctity of traditional marriage. Whether or not you become a member, you can sign up for CAP's e-mail updates and alerts. You can also volunteer to distribute monthly Family Focus bulletins at your church, which feature biblically-oriented issues and events of interest to concerned Christians. For more information, visit their website at www.azpolicy.org. Their office is located at 11000 N. Scottsdale Rd., Suite 120, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254.

Did You Know...? Although starting later than many other family policy councils, CAP has quickly become the largest family policy council in the United States, and has an unparalleled record of legislative success and cultural influence. CAP has developed strong bonds with friends like Arizona Families for Home Education, Arizona Right to Life, Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Alliance Defense Fund and many others.

Alliance Defense Fund
The Alliance Defense Fund is a unique Christian legal organization that works to protect and defend traditional family values, religious freedom, and the sanctity of human life. It was founded in 1994 by Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Dr. Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ, Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries, Don Wildmon of the American Family Association, and Larry Burkett of Crown Financial Ministries, among others. Their prime concern: the dramatic loss of religious freedom and the ability of people of faith to live and share the Gospel. Their headquarters is located in Scottsdale, Arizona (Alliance Defense Fund, 15333 N. Pima Road Suite 165, Scottsdale, AZ 85260, 480-444-0020).
