HIGH DESERT PARK

Black Canyon City is located in Central Arizona near the border of Maricopa/ Yavapai County, just 30 miles north of Phoenix. The town is situated in the Bradshaw Mountain foothills, along the Agua Fria River in Black Canyon below Black Mesa. It is accessible from Interstate 17 at exits 242 & 244, about 15 minutes north of Anthem/New River. The elevation is approximately 2000 feet (1000 feet higher than most of Phoenix), so temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler up here. Enjoy the fresh air and scenic mountain views!
Directions from the South: Go north on I-17. Take EXIT 242 to Rock Springs/ Black Canyon City. Turn LEFT (go over top of freeway). Turn RIGHT onto Old Black Canyon Hwy. Just up ahead on the LEFT you will see the High Desert Park sign. The park is at the end of Jacie Lane, just past the cemetery.
Directions from the North: Go south on I-17. Take EXIT 244 to Black Canyon City. Turn RIGHT to Old Black Canyon Hwy. Drive south all the way through town until you see the High Desert Park sign on your RIGHT. Turn right onto Jacie Lane, and the park is at the end of the road just past the cemetery.
